Welcome to our 2025 season!

Registration is winding down and we are working to get our teams formed. FOSC is excited to provide a soccer experience for over 1200 kids this year. Please note, we are still looking for coaches in U8g and U10g. If you can help, let us know asap. Contact us HERE!

If you are brand new to FOSC, you’ll find valuable information in this note.  If you are returning, you already know this info but feel free to take a peek. I know many of you are eager to hear from your coaches, find out your practice details, and purchase uniforms.

Here are some of our FAQs from over the last few weeks (and years.) Hopefully this helps until things get started.

When will I hear from my coach?
Older age groups will hear by mid-July and the younger age groups by mid to late July. Coaches do not have rosters yet.

Does my player need a uniform?
Yes. All players need a uniform. U6/U8 (2018-2021) players do NOT need to purchase a set of jerseys. These are included in your registration fee. If your player is "playing up" to U10,  you will follow uniform instructions for U10.  Pick up date for U6/U8 jerseys is TBA.

U10-U16 DO need to purchase a set of jerseys at Soccer Post in Fair Oaks. They will be available in early August. We’ll let you know when to visit the store. Jersey style is the same as last season so if they fit, you’re all set.  All players need black shorts, black socks, shin guards and soccer cleats. No exceptions. Numbers are pre-printed on the jerseys and number requests cannot be made at Soccer Post.

When will I get my practice schedule?
This info will come from your coach. Please remember, FOSC does not take requests for practice days/locations/times into consideration. We have over 1200 kids in our club. We let our volunteer coaches choose their practice details.

Can I change teams if the practices don’t work for me?
Team switching is not allowed. We apologize if the schedule doesn’t work for you, but our teams are packed full in most age groups, and we cannot move players around. We realize it's easier to have all your kids at the same location and time but that is an impossible request. Please do not email us letting us know there is a team that practices at the time you need & request a switch.  If you need a refund, you can find those instructions on our website.

If I find out my neighbor is coaching, can I switch to his/her team? Unfortunately, no. You will have to remain on your team and request that coach next season.

Why didn’t I get on the team or with the friend I requested?
Team/coach/friend requests are requests and are not guaranteed. The most common reason your player isn’t on a team with a friend request is because the friend is in a different age group than your player. This has been true for a few dozen requests this season. Another reason is that sometimes teams are full of returning players.  Putting teams together is a huge task and we simply cannot accommodate all requests.  This is a great opportunity for your player to make new friends!

Are play up requests always granted? Unfortunately, no. We try to accommodate kids who want a challenge, but we have to look at the number of players who naturally fall into each age group first.  If there is room, we do our best to make it happen. We will not load a single team with several play ups. It is not fair to the coach or the other players.

What equipment will I need?
Each player needs the correct size soccer ball for their age group. Please have a soccer ball by the first practice and put your name on it.

U6/U8: Size 3

U10/12: Size 4

U14/U16: Size 5

I’m not coaching but I want to help!
Please offer your assistance to your coach at the first practice or on your response to the initial team email.

The FOSC board members work all year long to plan the fall season.  We love what we do and we are excited to see the kids on the pitch!
