Field Announcements

As a community club, one of our main efforts have been working with the community school district (SJUSD) and Fair Oaks Park District in order to significantly increase the quality of our playing fields.  These efforts include integrating our club members into park events, partnering with area organizations and working closer with the school district board to ensure our concerns are not only heard but met.

Our challenges include and increase love for the game of soccer, Fair Oaks has limited space offerings and the amount of volunteers willing to assist is not increasing with the popularity of the sport.

FORPD will be redoing the irrigation at Phoenix Park to modernize the park irrigation and begin working on each field individually.   FOSC will be instrumental in providing volunteers, funding and continued support of these improvements.  This work is scheduled to begin this year.

FOSC has held multiple meetings with SJUSD to increase the irrigation, seeding and maintenance of Andrew Carnegie.  As a result, they have released our ability to assist in these efforts and opened the opportunity for us to maintain the fields under our permits.  This is a HUGE step because we are not reliant on the district any longer.  As a community club, it is imperative that we step up and get this field where we expect it.   More to come on this throughout 2020, as we will be requesting volunteers assist in the maintenance.  If you are interested in learning more or volunteering , please contact us at

FOSC is holding its Annual General Meeting, December 11th at Dad's Kitchen in Fair Oaks at 7:30PM.  We have some open positions for vote that include:

- Field Management and Maintenance
- Equipment Management
- Treasurer
